Dave’s plan, scenario #1
Meet Dave. Dave has just launched the world’s greatest website! It’s professionally designed, flashy, and cleanly laid out with easy navigation. Dave has spent a lot of time (and money) in designing the perfect website that everyone and anyone will want to visit on a daily basis. In his eagerness, Dave launches his website without doing SEO research, excited at the prospect of great success. The day after his site launches, Dave runs to his computer and, with wide eyes, takes a look at his stat counter to check on the number of visitors that came to his website. He’s completely amazed, awed, humbled, and in shock to see something he totally didn’t expect to see… NOTHING! Not one visitor has come to Dave’s site. Weeks pass, then months as Dave continues to check his website stats daily only to find the same result. Dave has built the best thing since sliced bread… only know one knows about it.
What went wrong
Nothing necessarily went wrong. Dave did the right thing by building a quality website that he feels proud of and is confident that visitors would want to keep visiting. The problem is that Dave didn’t put much consideration into SEO, specifically a link-building campaign. We all know that quote from Field of Dreams “if you build it, they will come.” It most definitely does NOT apply to websites and the internet. What to expect
When you sign up for an account with Free Links Direct, you’re required to place a series of links on your homepage. The links will be relevant to your website content and will contain no more than five links, plus a link-back to Free Links Direct. Once the links have been verified and your website activated in our system, you’ll be eligible to receive one-way links. One-way links are generated to your site based on the next partner that joins within the same vertical market as your own. Since partners can choose who they link to, the number of links you receive each month will vary. The key is to have a high quality website that other partners will want to link to. Taking on a modest and realistic approach, Dave sees a small yet encouraging number of visits within his first month. As each month passes and Dave continues his SEO efforts, he sees increase after increase in website traffic. Soon Dave’s vision has been realized and his world’s greatest website has become the juggernaut he always dreamed about. He did SEO the right way, didn’t expect miracles, and worked hard. Free Links Direct didn’t put Dave in that position, but it helped him each step of the way.
